MAX11040KGUU+ - Maxim Integrated Function Overview

The MAX11040KGUU+ is a 24bit, 4-channel, simultaneous sampling, cascadable, sigma-delta analogue to digital converter in 38 pin TSSOP package. The device allows simultaneous sampling of as many as 32 channels using built-in cascade feature to synchronize as many as eight devices. The serial interface allows reading data from all cascaded devices using single command. Four modulators simultaneously convert each fully differential analogue input with programmable data output rate ranging from 0.25Ksps to 64Ksps. The devices achieve 106dB SNR at 16Ksps and 117dB SNR at 1Ksps. The device operates from single 3V supply. The differential analogue input range is ±2.2V when using internal reference and an external reference is optional. The device uses an internal crystal oscillator or an external source for clock. The MAX11040K is compatible with SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE and DSP compatible 4-wire serial interfaces. It is used in power protection relay equipment and multiphase power systems.
