MCP4921-E/SN - Microchip Function Overview

The MCP4921-E/SN is a 12-bit voltage output Digital-to-Analogue (DAC) Converter with SPI interface. This device is a single channel 12-bit DAC which uses an external voltage reference. This device offers high accuracy and low power consumption and is available in various packages. Communication with the device is accomplished via a simple serial interface using SPI protocols. DACs which use external voltage reference (VREF). This device provide very high accuracy and low noise performance. The user can shut down the device by setting the configuration register bit. In shutdown mode, most of the internal circuits are turned off for power savings and the output amplifier is configured to present a known high resistance output load (500kR typical).
