The QUINT SFB is the first industrial grade power supply to feature Selective Fuse Breaking (SFB), a technology that enables standard power circuit breakers to be triggered reliably and quickly. This power supply provides up to six times nominal current for 12 ms. This short burst of current allows individual circuit breakers to react to overloads. Faulty current paths are shut down, while the power supply continues to deliver power to the other loads. The SFB technology"s power reserve is also available for loads with high start-up current peaks. This power supply also provides continual diagnostic monitoring by constantly checking the output voltage and output current. This predictive function monitoring recognizes critical operating states, visualizes and reports them to the controller in good time. This early detection warns of critical operating states before errors occur. When the power supply system is operating under nominal conditions a (DC OK) LED indicates the status on the power supply unit. During overload conditions, the (DC OK) LED will change state to indicate possible fault conditions. The power supply also has an additional LED to indicate the unit is supplying more than nominal current, when in the Power Boost mode. The Quint SFB Power supplies are an average of 30 percent narrower than standard QUINT Power Supply units. This frees space on the mounting rail for other components. A wide temperature range and international approvals make the QUINT SFB an ideal power supply for industrial applications. The QUINT-PS/1AC/24DC/5 is a 24 V DC, 5 Amp power supply unit.
