The GSM GPRS modem can be utilized to monitor your data reliably over the GSM GPRS cellular network. Phoenix Contact"s GSM GPRS modems are approved to be used on the AT&T network and can easily interface with your RS232 serial connection. Phoenix Contact has partnered with Diversenet to allow for easy activation of the modem"s SIM card on the GSM GPRS cellular network.
●The DIN rail mountable GSM modem PSI-GSM/GPRS-MODEM/RS232 allows global access to machines and systems via GSM or GPRS connections. Comprehensive safety functions, e.g. presettable, selective call acceptance, password protection and call-back function prevent unauthorized access. Of particular value for remote system monitoring are the configurable warning or fault warning inputs. If they are activated, the modem dials up a predefined number and sends the saved text messages as fax, SMS or e-mail, or sets the output of the device at the opposite end. The switching output can also be set with a password protected SMS.
●To guarantee interference-free operation even under difficult EMC conditions, the device has high-grade galvanic isolation and integrated surge protection. The universal features of the modem are complemented by the automatic battery-saving “sleep” function and the particularly wide range of supply voltages from 10 to 60 V. Startup is simple with Plug&Play and convenient configuration software. The modem can be operated in all 900 and 1800 MHz GSM networks.
