The 4N27 is a 1-channel 6-pin Phototransistor Output Optocoupler with base connection. It consists of gallium arsenide infrared LED and a silicon NPN phototransistor. It is suitable for AC mains detection, reed relay driving, telephone ring detection, logic ground isolation and logic coupling with high frequency noise rejection.
