The DRV8871EVM is a DRV8871 H-bridge PWM motor driver evaluation module. The DRV8871 device is a 3.6A brushed DC motor driver with integrated current sensing (PWM Ctrl). The DRV8871 evaluation module demonstrates the capabilities and performance of DRV8871 integrated circuit. The EVM includes a 5V regulator and PWM generator. A single power source is required to evaluate DRV8871. It includes a voltage regulator to create 5V and TLC555 timer configured to supply a PWM input to DRV8871. The EVM also includes a potentiometer to adjust the speed of motor by varying the duty cycle of PWM and a second potentiometer to set chopping current value. Jumpers are provided to configure each input to a logic low, logic high, PWM or to allow user control of the inputs. Test points are provided for ease of monitoring input and output signals. The DRV8871EVM only requires connections to the motor and power supply to operate.
