The DS1812-15+ from Maxim Integrated Products is a 5V EconoReset monitor with active high push-pull output in 3 pin TO-92 package. A precision temperature compensated reference and comparator circuit is used to monitor the status of the power supply (VCC). It provides a function of detecting out of tolerance power supply conditions and warning a processor based system of impending power failure. When VCC is detected in out of tolerance condition, an internal power fail signal is generated which forces reset to the active state. When VCC returns to an in-tolerance condition, the reset signal is kept in the active state for approximately 150ms to allow the power supply and processor to stabilize.
