The FT245RL is an USB to parallel FIFO interface device in 28 Pin SSOP package. The device simplifies USB to FIFO designs and reduces external component count by fully integrating an external EEPROM, USB termination resistors and integrated clock circuit which requires no external crystal into the device. It has been designed to operate efficiently with USB host controller by using as little as possible of total USB bandwidth available. The FT245RL has true 5V/3.3V/2.8V/1.8V CMOS drive output and TTL input. The 128byte receive buffer and 256byte transmit buffer utilising buffer smoothing technology allows for high data throughput. It is supplied pre-programmed with unique USB serial number. The FT245RL supports bus powered, self powered and high power bus powered USB configurations.
