The ISO1050EVM is a multi functional evaluation module designed to evaluate the ISO1050 isolated CAN transceiver. The ISO1050 isolated CAN transceiver has an integrated silicon oxide (SiO2) insulation barrier, which provides galvanic isolation between the controller side of a high speed CAN transceiver and the bus side. Used in conjunction with isolated power supplies, these devices block high voltage, isolate grounds, and prevent noise currents on a data bus or other circuits from entering the local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuitry. These devices are ideal for long transmission lines since the ground loop is broken to allow for a much larger common mode voltage range. The symmetrical isolation barrier of the device is tested to provide 2500Vrms of isolation for 60 seconds between the bus line transceiver and the logic level interface.

●These devices provide galvanic isolation up to 4000V, this EVM cannot be used for isolation voltage testing. This board may be damaged if high voltage (> 5.25V) is applied anywhere in the CKT.
