The ISO154XEVM evaluation module has been designed to allow the user to evaluate the electrical parameter performance and features of ISO1540 and ISO1541 of 3KV I2C isolators. The ISO1540 and ISO1541 are low power, bidirectional isolators that are compatible with I2C interfaces. These devices have their logic input and output buffers separated by Capacitive Isolation technology using a silicon dioxide (SiO2) barrier. When used in conjunction with isolated power supplies, these devices block high voltages, isolate grounds, and prevent noise currents from entering the local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuitry. This isolation technology provides for function, performance, size, and power consumption advantages when compared to opto couplers. The ISO1540 and ISO1541 enable a complete isolated I2C interface to be implemented within a small form factor.
● Isolated bidirectional, I2C compatible communications
● Supports up to 1Mbps
● 3V to 5.5V supply range
● Open drain outputs with 3.5mA/35mA sink current capability
●The EVM is for operating parameter performance eval only and not designed for isolation testing. Any voltage applied above 5.5V max recommended operating voltage of the isolators may damage the EVM.
