The MAX1320ECM+ is an 8-channel, 14bit, simultaneous sampling analogue to digital converter (ADC) with ±5V analogue input range in 48 pin LQFP package. The independent track/hold circuitry provides simultaneous sampling for each channel. It has ±16.5V fault tolerant inputs. This ADC converts two channels in 2µs, up to eight channels in 3.8µs and has an 8-channel throughput of 250Ksps per channel. It also includes 10MHz T/H input bandwidth, internal clock, internal (+2.5V) or external (2V to 3V) reference and power saving modes. A 16.6MHz, 14bit bidirectional parallel interface provides conversion results and accepts digital configuration inputs. The MAX1320 operates from 4.75V to 5.25V analogue supply, separate 2.7V to 5.25V digital supply and consume less than 50mA total supply current. The device has small signal bandwidth of 10MHz and full power bandwidth of 10MHz. It is used in power grid synchronization, power factor monitoring and correction, vibration & waveform analysis.
