The MAX6802UR29D3+T is a low cost, low power microprocessor (µP) reset circuit in 3 pin SOT-23 package. This supervisory circuit monitors power supplies in 2.85V to 5V µP and digital systems. It increases circuit reliability and reduces cost by eliminating external components and adjustments. The MAX6802 performs a single function that is it asserts a reset signal whenever VCC supply voltage declines below a preset threshold, keeping it asserted for a preset timeout period after VCC has risen above the reset threshold. It has an active low, open-drain RESET output and it has to be in the correct state for VCC down to 1V. The reset comparator in this IC is designed to ignore fast transients on VCC. The MAX6802 is used in computers, controllers, intelligent instruments, critical µP/µC power monitoring and battery powered equipment.
