The MC74HC4051ADR2G is a low noise analogue multiplexer/demultiplexer in 16 pin SOIC package. It utilizes silicon gate CMOS technology to achieve fast propagation delays, low ON resistances and low OFF leakage currents. This analogue multiplexer/demultiplexer controls analogue voltages that may vary across the complete power supply range (from VCC to VEE). The MC74HC4051ADR2G is identical in pin-out to metal gate MC14051AB. The channel-select inputs determine which one of analogue inputs/outputs is to be connected by means of an analogue switch to common output/input. All analogue switches are turned off when enable pin is HIGH. The channel-select and enable inputs are compatible with standard CMOS outputs and with pull-up resistors they are compatible with LSTTL outputs. The device has been designed so that the ON resistance (Ron) is more linear over input voltage than Ron of metal gate CMOS analogue switches.
