The MCP3004-I/SL is a 10-bit Analogue-to-Digital Converter with on-board sample and hold circuitry. Combines high performance and low power consumption. The MCP3004 features a successive approximation register (SAR) architecture and an industry-standard SPI serial interface, allowing 10-bit ADC capability to be added to any PIC® microcontroller. The MCP3004 features 200k samples/second, 4 input channels, low power consumption (5nA typical standby, 425µA typical active). Applications for the MCP3004 includes data acquisition, multi-channel data loggers and robotics. The MCP3004 is programmable to provide two pseudo-differential input pairs or four single-ended inputs. Differential non-linearity (DNL) and integral non-linearity (INL) are specified at ±1 LSB. Communication with the devices is accomplished using a simple serial interface compatible with the SPI protocol.
