The MCP4728EV is an evaluation board for evaluating the MCP4728 a four channel, 12bit digital to analog converter. The user can evaluate this board by using the PICkit serial analyser or by providing the I2C serial communication signals through the I2C test terminals. The MCP4728 evaluation board is designed to work friendly with the PICkit serial analyser (DV164122). The PICkit Serial analyser is used for writing and reading the DAC configuration and register data. The PICkit Serial analyser consists of hardware and PC GUI. It is highly recommended that the users order this MCP4728 evaluation board and the PICkit serial analyser at same time. The MCP4728 supports standard mode 100KHz, fast mode 400KHz, and high speed mode 3.4MHz of the I2C serial communications. This evaluation board has 5kR for the I2C pull up resistors and supports up to the fast mode. If the user needs to evaluate the device with high speed mode 3.4MHz, replace the R1 and R2 with lower values (less than 1kR).
● Easy to evaluate the MCP4728 features and analog outputs
● Writing and reading DAC registers and EEPROM data
● 12bit voltage output DAC with four buffered outputs
● Operates in normal or power down mode
● Fast settling time typically 6µs
● Internal or external voltage reference selection
● On board non volatile memory (EEPROM)
● Low power consumption
●The PICkit Serial analyser is sold separately
