The MSP430F5172IDAR is a 16-bit ultra-low-power Mixed-signal Microcontroller features a powerful 16-bit RISC MSP430 CPU, 16-bit registers and constant generators that contribute to maximum code efficiency. The architecture combined with five low-power modes, is optimized to achieve extended battery life. The digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) allows wake-up from low-power modes to active mode in less than 5µs. The device configurations with three 16-bit timer, 10-bit A/D converter, two universal serial communication interfaces (USCIs), three-channel internal DMA, a 16-channel comparator, a 32-bit hardware multiplier and 31 general-purpose I/O pins. This device operates at a maximum frequency of 25MHz.
