The SMBJ13A from Littelfuse is a SMBJ series 600W, surface mount unidirectional transient voltage suppression diode in DO-214AA package. It features excellent clamping capability, low incremental surge resistance, low profile package, moulded plastic body over glass passivated junction, built-in strain relief and fast response time of typically less than 1.0ps from 0Vs to BV min. The peak pulse power dissipation (PPPM) is 600W at TA=25°C, 10/1000µs waveform, 0.01% repetition rate (duty cycle), power dissipation is 5W on infinite heat sink at TL=50°C and peak forward surge current (IFSM) is 100A measured on 8.3ms single half sine wave or equivalent square wave. This SMBJ series transient voltage suppression diode is designed specifically to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It is ideal for the protection of I/O interfaces, VCC bus and other vulnerable circuits.
