The SN65HVD235DG4 is a 3.3V CAN Transceiver with standby mode auto baud loop-back provides transmit and receive capability between the differential CAN bus and a CAN controller, with signalling rates up to 1Mbps. Designed for operation in especially harsh environments, the devices feature cross-wire protection, overvoltage protection up to ±36V, loss of ground protection, over-temperature (thermal shutdown) protection and common-mode transient protection of ±100V. This device operate over a wide common-mode range. This transceiver is an interface between the host CAN controller on the microprocessor and the differential CAN bus.
● Bus pins fault protection exceeds ±36V
● Bus pins ESD protection exceeds ±16kV HBM
● Compatible with ISO 11898-2
● GIFT/ICT compliant
● High-input impedance allows for 120 nodes
● Adjustable driver transition times for improved emissions performance
● Unpowered node does not disturb the bus
● 200µA Typical low-current standby mode
● Thermal shutdown protection
● Green product and no Sb/Br
●This device has limited built-in ESD protection, leads should be shorted together or the device placed in conductive foam during storage or handling to prevent electrostatic damage to the MOS gates.
