The TEPT5600 from Vishay is a leaded silicon NPN epitaxial planar phototransistor in a T-1 3/4 (5mm) package. This ambient light sensor is sensitive to visible light much like the human eye and has peak sensitivity of 570nm. Ambient light sensor is a replacement of cadmium sulfide (CdS) photoresistors.
