The TLP627-4 from Toshiba is a through hole photocoupler in 16 pin DIP package. This device consist of gallium arsenide infrared emitting diode optically coupled to a darlington connected phototransistor which has an integral base emitter resistor to optimize switching speed and elevated temperature characteristics. This TLP627-4 used for programmable controllers, DC output module and telecommunication.
