The TPA2008D2 is a stereo audio power amplifier designed to drive up to 3-W (per channel) of sound into speakers. Its Filter-Free, Class-D operation is 85 percent efficient and requires very few external components.
●The efficient operation of the TPA2008D2 requires less than half the current needed by a comparable Class-AB audio amp and it also operates twice as cool. Filter-Free denotes the TPA2008D2 does not require a large and expensive LC filter to condition the output signal like competitive solutions and previous generation Class-D audio amps from TI.
●The integrated DC volume control gives designers the flexibility to easily make changes in the sound volume prior to production and allow the end user to adjust the volume level.
