The TPS2543EVM-064 is an evaluation module, helps the designers to evaluate the performance of TPS2543 USB Charging Port Power Switch and Controller. The evaluation module contains input and output connectors. Jumper controls are also provided to ease evaluation of device features. The TPS2543 can be configured to automatically select the D+/D- mode needed to charge an attached device. The TPS2543 provides load detection via the STATUS pin that allows for both power supply control in S4/S5 charging and the ability to manage port power in a multi port application. Additionally, system wake up (from S3) with a mouse/keyboard (low speed only) is fully supported in the TPS2343. The TPS2543 73mR power distribution switch is intended for applications where heavy capacitive loads and short circuits are likely to be encountered. Two programmable current thresholds provide flexibility for setting current limits and load detect thresholds.
