The TPS54336EVM-556 evaluation module (EVM) helps designers evaluate the operation and performance of TPS54336 synchronous step down converter. The TPS54336 is a 3A, low quiescent supply current (IQ), synchronous voltage regulator IC with up to 28V input support. By integrating MOSFETs and by employing current mode switching control, the TPS54336 offers compact designs on PCB reducing external component count. The evaluation module includes a nominal 24V input, 5V output synchronous buck converter capable of sourcing up to 3A output current. The input voltage range is 8V to 28V. The TPS54336 features enable control with adjustable under voltage lock out threshold, adjustable slow start and fixed switching frequency. The switching frequency for the evaluation module is set to 340KHz.
● External slow start
● Integrated FETs
● Low 2µA shutdown quiescent current
● 0.8V voltage reference with ±0.8% accuracy
● Current mode control
● Monotonic start up into pre biased outputs
● Pulse skipping for light load efficiency
● Hiccup mode overcurrent protection
● Thermal shutdown (TSD) and overvoltage transition protection
●This device has limited built in ESD protection. The leads should be shorted together or device placed in conductive foam during storage or handling to prevent electrostatic damage to the MOS gates.
●This evaluation module is not a finished electrical equipment and not intended for consumer use.
