The TPS74901KTWT is a low-dropout (LDO) Linear Regulator provides an easy-to-use, robust power management solution for a wide variety of applications. The soft-start is monotonic and well-suited for powering many different types of processors and ASICs. The enable input and power-good output allow easy sequencing with external regulators. This complete flexibility permits the user to configure a solution that meets the sequencing requirements of FPGAs, DSPs and other applications with special start-up requirements. A precision reference and error amplifier deliver 2% accuracy over load, line, temperature and process. The use of an NMOS-pass FET offers several critical advantages for many applications. Unlike a PMOS topology device, the output capacitor has little effect on loop stability. This architecture allows the device to be stable with any capacitor with a value of 2.2µF or greater. Transient response is also superior to PMOS topologies, particularly for low VIN applications.
● Power-good (PG) output allows supply monitoring or provides a sequencing signal for other supplies
● Adjustable start-up in-rush control
● VBIAS permits low VIN operation with good transient response
● Active high enable
● Stable with >=2.2µF any output capacitor
● 120mV Typical at 3A low dropout
● Green product and no Sb/Br
