Subject: PCN 143 - Change of adhesive tape material
Description: As part of our continuous improvement process regarding quality and
logistics of our products, LEDiL will change all existing 0.4 mm thick
polyurethane foam tapes that are used in our product assemblies to acrylic
foam tape. Based on extensive testing the new adhesive tape will perform
as well or better than the previous adhesive tape.
Time line: We will deplete old stock before making the change. First phase for the
change takes place on July 1
st
, 2018. The tape material will be changed to
all 0.4mm thick tapes within 12 months (by July 1
st
, 2019).
Changes: LEDiL will change all our existing 0.4 mm thick polyurethane foam tapes to
acrylic foam tape. The new adhesive tape will also be 0.4 mm thick and the
colour changes from black to dark gray. First product families to get an
updated adhesive tape will be SPUTNIK, TITANUM, IRIS, EMILY, EVA,
MINNIE, MIRA, LEILA, EMERALD, RITA, REBECCA, HEIDI, TINA, FLARE
and BOOM. Other product families will get new adhesive tapes after this
without further notice.
