The ISOW7821DWE from Texas Instruments is a high-performance, dual channel reinforced digital isolator with an integrated high efficiency power converter in 16 pin SOIC package. It helps to prevent noise currents on a data bus or other circuits from entering local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuitry. Device eliminates need for a separate isolated power supply in space constrained isolated designs. It is also suitable for very high voltage applications where power transformers meeting required isolation specifications are bulky and expensive. Typically used at industrial automation, motor control, grid infrastructure, medical equipment, test and measurement.
