The MAX528CWG+ is an octal, 8bit, serial digital to analogue converter (DAC) in 24 pin WSOIC package. This monolithic device combines DAC, 8 output buffers and serial interface logic. It operates from single supply up to 15V or from split supplies up to 20V including +5V/-15V, +12V/-5V and +15V/-5V. A shutdown pin reduces current consumption to under 50µA which retains all internal DAC data. Three output modes are serially programmable for each pair of 8 analogue outputs. An unbuffered mode connects internal R-2R DAC network directly to output pin, reducing power consumption & avoiding buffer"s DC errors. A full buffered mode inserts buffer between R-2R network and output which provides +5mA/-2mA output drive. Half buffered output mode is similar but uses less power while still providing up to 15mA of output drive in unipolar output configuration. The MAX528 is used in digital calibration & gain and offset adjustment, microcontroller analogue outputs & multiply trim pot rep
