The MSP430F6638IPZR is a 16-bit ultra-low-power Mixed-signal Microcontroller features a powerful 16-bit RISC MSP430 CPU, 16-bit registers and constant generators that contribute to maximum code efficiency. The architecture combined with five low-power modes, is optimized to achieve extended battery life. The digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) allows wake-up from low-power modes to active mode in less than 3µs (typical). The device configurations with four 16-bit timer, 12-bit A/D converter, two universal serial communication interfaces (USCIs), six-channel internal DMA, a 12-channel comparator, a 32-bit hardware multiplier and 74 general-purpose I/O pins. This device operates at a maximum frequency of 20MHz with low supply voltage range of 1.8 to 3.6V.
